about me

Hi! My name is Lauren and this is my blog! :)

I am a 20-something newlywed living in Savannah, Georgia with my husband, Brian. We are settling into married life 700 miles away from our families and hometown in Maryland in one of the most beautiful cities in the South! I graduated from college in May 2008 and am an alumna of Phi Mu Fraternity for Women. My sorority has brought me some of the most amazing friends a girl could ask for.  I graduated (again!) with my Master's in Teaching in May 2011. Despite so many years in school, I'm still trying to figure out what I want to be "when I grow up." And I think that's okay!

Brian graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 2010 and is now an officer in the U.S. Army. He makes me proud every day. We dated long distance for two and a half years before we got engaged while on vacation in San Diego, CA in July 2010. We got married on May 28th, 2011 at a beautiful lighthouse on the water in Havre de Grace, MD. The best day of my life!

I love airplanes and really hope to get my private pilot's license one day,  hence the title of this blog! :)

Follow along with me as I settle into married life, organize and decorate our (for now) home, tackle the dreaded "what's for dinner?" question, try to convince Brian that it's time for another vacation, and generally enjoy life with my best friend!
