We drove about an hour to New Park, Pennsylvania (after stopping to buy a couple of flashlights) to Maize Quest Fun Park. We had each been separately with family and friends, but never together!
If you have a Maize Quest near you, I definitely recommend checking it out. It is worlds away from just a cornfield with a maze cut into it. While you're getting lost, there are different 'stations' with themed activities and rubbings. Our maze was an island adventure...so much fun!
In the world of corn mazes, I am kind of a 'go with the flow and we'll figure out how to get out eventually' type person.
Brian is, well, not. His favorite part was getting to stations where you could view the 'invisible' map on the back of our activity booklet. He loves figuring out where he is and making a plan for where to go next. But seeing him have so much fun with it made it easy to be patient as he got us oriented and traced a route. :)
A little over an hour and a half after we began, we emerged victorious!
We could have spent even longer going around and finding all of the activities, but it was getting pretty late. We stopped and got some fresh apple cider (YUM!) before starting our drive home.
The maze and theme change every year, so I think we'll definitely have to make a trip back!
