Crumbs has locations throughout the city, and one of them happens to be just outside of Grand Central Station. Brian indulged me and suggested we go to Crumbs as our first stop, so we enjoyed coffee and a cupcake for breakfast!
New York has a new law that requires that restaurants display calorie counts of food items, so it was then that we decided to split one. It was a hard decision; everything looked amazing! Especially the S'mores cupcake. The Cookie Dough cupcake. The Squiggle cupcake (which looked like a Hostess chocolate cupcake, but was probably a million times better!) Oh, who I am kidding...I wanted to try them all!
We agreed on the Peanut Butter Cup cupcake, which was a chocolate cupcake with peanut butter frosting, topped with pieces of Reese's cups!
It was so delicious. I am not always a huge fan of icing, but this peanut butter frosting was probably the most amazing part of the whole cupcake!
The icing also went down into the cupcake, so you got some with every bite! It totally lived up to all of my expectations, and then some!
When we were leaving the city that night, Brian and I both wanted to go back to Crumbs for another cupcake! We intended to split the Cookie Dough cupcake, but we sadly found them closed. Oh well...that just means that we will have to take a trip back. :)
Or order some online. I wish I hadn't discovered you can do that...

Calories??? Cupcakes have calories??? How many cals on average are we talking about here? I love these little cupcake shops. There was one that opened up in my home town right before I moved. I only had the opportunity to go once... it's probably a good thing I got out of there!
Cute post.
