Leslie @ A Blonde Ambition asked...
Who would be the 5 guests at your fantasy dinner party?
This is a hard one! After a bit of thought, I'd say: Amelia Earhart, the Wright Brothers (they can both count as one, right?), Harry Potter (because I would just like to meet him in real life...Hermione too! Oh, okay, and Ron), Dr. Seuss, and Will Ferrell (for jokes, obviously). Oh, and Giada De Laurentiis, because she could make dinner! That's more than five...oops.
I could also imagine a dinner party with Albert Einstein, Issac Newton, Charles Darwin, Jesus, and Socrates (he could bring Plato, too). And other combinations of really famous, important, or intelligent people. Really interesting conversation, but I'd probably be too intimidated to say much. Which is why I picked my first list.
Of course, I'd want B to be there too.
The Luckiest Mrs. asked...
If you could live anywhere, where would it be?
I've never had any complaints about living in Maryland, except for in the dead of winter when it feels like Spring will never arrive. I would have absolutely no qualms about living somewhere warm, like Florida (I loved Sarasota, and would have no problem watching the sun set over the water every night from my porch!) or Georgia.
That might not seem too exotic, but, after traveling abroad, I don't think I'd want to live outside of the US. I really liked visiting, but this is home to me. I'd still want to be close enough to my family to hop on a plane if I needed or wanted to come home relatively quickly. I've never been to the West Coast though, so it's entirely possible I'd want to live in California...but I would wait to say that until I've actually been there. :)
Jax @ The Roaring Twenties (mine that is...) asked...
If you could travel anywhere, where would you go and what would the trip be like? :)
I really loved our trip to London and Paris; waking up, riding into the city, walking around and seeing the sights, eating at different restaurants and experiencing the food...I feel really grateful that we were able to go on that trip together this summer, and it was an amazing experience. There are many more places that I'd like to visit, including the Mediterranean coast of Spain and a couple of different cities in Italy.
Still, I'd have to say that my ideal vacation would be to somewhere tropical, and would consist of laying on the beach during the day and eating out at different island restaurants listening to beachy outdoor music at night, and involve a whole lot of relaxing.
Em @ A Place In This World (who just happens to be one of my lovely Phi Mu sisters) asked...
So out of all the books you've read over the last few months, which one was your fave and why?
I think I'd have to say the book I just recently finished, The Next Thing on My List by Jill Smolinski.
This is the summary I wrote for the book list where I have been keeping track of the books I've read:
June Parker offers Marissa Jones a ride home from their Weight Watchers meeting. A freak car accident leaves 24-year-old Marissa dead and June reeling with guilt. While preparing to return Marissa's belongings to her family, June discovers a list in her wallet: "25 Things to Do Before my 25th Birthday." There are only two items crossed off. When confronted by Marissa's brother, June makes a split second decision to complete the items on the list. Really heartwarming, inspirational, and funny.I really liked it, even though it didn't end exactly the way I had anticipated it would. It has inspired me to make a list of "25 Things to Do Before my 25th Birthday" though. :)
Will you please help me make my blog as pretty as yours???
Of course, anytime! Although I've noticed some very cute upgrades as of late. :)
Kerry @ My life, My loves. asked...
Where did you get your layout from? xx
I actually didn't get the layout anywhere, but just put it together myself. Which explains why it's so simple. I have a basic knowledge of HTML because during my random foray into different career paths (Real Estate, Personal Training, etc...), I got a certificate in Web Design. A huge stress on basic knowledge, though.
I made my template have three columns by following the tutorial here.
I only have one more set of questions to answer. They're the ones about my love...me and B, how we met, and how we almost never dated at all!
