I am eating my words.

Since I have poison ivy anyway, I decided to go back to our *Super Top Secret Undisclosed Location* to pick more raspberries (if I let this get out, there would be chaotic mass berry picking, and I am feeling somewhat selfish). I don't know why I picked a day when it was sunny and 82°, but I digress. I've already proclaimed my love of fruit in the summertime. The allure of the raspberries sitting there, ripe on the bushes, was too much to bear.

Do you know how expensive raspberries are in the grocery store?! It's crazy to think of them just sitting there. Waiting to be picked. And so, I picked raspberries until I was sweaty and sticky with fruit juice and best of all, full. I have a problem when picking berries where they just look so delicious...well, I end up eating a fair amount of them. They are sweet and warm from the sun and just. So. Good. I did have some to take home, though.

I got home and it was still pretty early. Early enough for breakfast, even! Breakfast is easily my favorite meal, and I'm a fan of doing it big. Scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast with butter and jelly, fried potatoes...Yum! I've been wanting to try Puff Pancakes for a while, and having the fresh berries in tow was a perfect excuse. This puff pancake bakes up BIG and light, like a cross between a pancake and a crêpe. Most importantly, it was delicious.

This might sound weird, but getting poison ivy in the process of picking raspberries is probably worth it.
